According to the gist of the times, they experience uncomplicated exchanges within the world of Swiss wine while supporting each other. Proud of their wines, they don’t shy away from the competition. Together we are strong!
A breath of fresh air in the wine scene! Young winemakers have created a new kind of wine tasting.
On 26 August 2021, the young winemakers came back into the spotlight. Twenty-seven selected guests from all across Switzerland travelled to Bern to meet the twenty-seven young Swiss winemakers at the Fabrique28 restaurant. At a performance presentation during the tasting, the winemakers showcased their wines and on stage, they expressed their ideas, wishes and fears. They created a completely new way of tasting, placing their wines within the context of their personal life experience. The Fabrique28 restaurant has created a menu based on the themes discussed and on the entire varied range of wines.
Screenplay & Performance
Our aim was to move away from the technical discussions about winemaking, from the usual speeches on wine, to focus on life, on the young winemakers and their personal experiences, fears, ideas, visions. The result of a survey among young winegrowers, a screenplay in four acts was written: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. The winemakers dared to use different formats to express their thoughts. This resulted in a performance made of dialogue, music, video and images.

We all have beliefs that move us. After conjuring up their painting gear, our winemakers wrote down some of these important words that have the ability to move them. They were captured on film in their favourite place! Check out their favourite places!
The Swiss Young winemakers are now ‘millennials’ and it’s up to them to shape the future.
The Swiss Wine Report 2022 brought us into play and we wanted to show ourselves.
The presentation revolves around the four seasons, which represent our timekeeping and indeed, finally, a ticking clock with respect to the future. The 2021 presentation described the wines with the help of text and images. What is new is the input for your ears, in the form of musical performances. The focus is futuristic, musical, future-oriented – here’s the millennials.
