Winds of Opportunity
Winds of Opportunity is the name of the program that articulates all the educational initiatives of the company. For the last 15 years Trivento has been an agent of change encouraging education as the most powerful tool for the transformation of its community.
The program includes several initiatives. Since 2008, employees who want to finish their high school studies can register for the “Blended Educational Completion”. There is a satellite classroom of the CENS 3-413 school for adults within the winery facilities. Currently, there are 26 employees enrolled in the fifth cycle of the program and 96 agents have already graduated.
Due to this experience, in 2017, Trivento added the possibility to complete the primary level for those people who had not completed their basic studies. The project has also a support system, through which other company collaborators assist the students.
In 2023, the winery expanded the scope of the program to the community. Currently, there are 20 employees enrolled in the sixth cycle for collaborators and 27 students in the first cycle for the community.
Scholarships
Trivento also offers a scholarship system for employees. It started in 2012 and has already supported 110 collaborators who wish to start a university degree or get specialized in different aspects.
All of these experiences led Trivento to expand the scope of the initiative and, in 2015, the company established an alliance with the FONBEC Foundation to provide scholarships to sons and daughters of Trivento’s collaborators. To date, the program has awarded 182 scholarships for studies at primary, secondary and university levels.
White Malbec with Social Impact
The year 2019 marked a milestone for the winery with the launch of its first wine to contribute to the social impact in Argentina: Trivento White Malbec. Since 2020 the sales of this wine have supported 50 annual scholarships for children and young people throughout Argentina. Currently, Trivento awards 110 scholarships in total, of which more than 50% are financed by the White Malbec wine sales.
Training for a better future
Recently, the winery generated a plan to liaise with schools of the surrounding area in the department of Maipu, Mendoza. There are 10 schools in total. Throughout 2023, the company received students from these educational establishments to train them in the production process and in topics of importance to the wine sector, such as responsible alcohol consumption and the preparation of young people for the working world.
On the 15th anniversary of sustained work to boost Education, Trivento received the ACDE Enrique Shaw Award for Large Companies, recognizing the importance of the Winds of Opportunity Program.
As future challenges, Trivento dreams of reaching young university students with new training programs.
