Webinar: Is Wine Tourism Creating Value for Wineries?

The Great Wine Capitals Global Network hosts quarterly webinars exploring key trends and challenges in wine tourism. The next webinar, on March 25, 09:00 CET, will examine how wine tourism influences the management of independent wineries, featuring insights from Claire Lamoureux, a GWC research grant recipient, and real-world perspectives from wineries in Bordeaux and Mainz.

Independent wineries are increasingly exploring the potential of wine tourism, but how does this impact their businesses? Claire Lamoureux, a doctoral candidate at KEDGE Business School and a winner of a Great Wine Capitals International Research Grant, is investigating this very question. Her research, conducted with Geisenheim University and focusing on the Bordeaux and Mainz Great Wine Capitals regions, explores how wine tourism impacts the organizational management of wine estates. Challenging traditional approaches to wine estate management, Claire’s work offers key insights and strategic opportunities for wineries seeking to develop successful and sustainable wine tourism initiatives that align with their core values.

  • Exclusive insights from Claire’s study on wine tourism’s impact, with the opportunity to ask her direct questions.
  • First-hand testimonials from Château Mauvinon (Bordeaux) and Weingut Braunewell  (Mainz), participants in the study, that have successfully leveraged wine tourism.

Moderated by Marc Checkley (New Zealand-born storyteller, writer, consultant, and wine professional), this webinar is a must-attend for wineries looking to unlock new value through tourism.
