The agreement was formalized by Alfredo Cornejo, Governor of Mendoza, and Rodolphe Lameyse, CEO of Vinexposium, the organization behind Vinexpo Explorer. The signing ceremony was attended by key figures, including Ian Sielecki, Argentina’s ambassador to France, and Patricia Giménez, General Manager of ProMendoza, highlighting the collaborative effort between public and private sectors to promote Argentine wine on the global stage.
Vinexpo Explorer, established in 2017, is renowned for its immersive approach, offering international buyers a deep dive into the host region’s terroir, culture, and winemaking traditions. Previous editions have been held in iconic wine regions such as Austria, Sonoma County (USA), and Beaujolais (France). Mendoza, with its breathtaking Andes backdrop, over 300 days of sunshine annually, and reputation for producing exceptional Malbec, is a natural choice for this prestigious event.
Scheduled for October 6-9, 2025, Vinexpo Explorer Mendoza will bring together 80 international importers and 150 local producers. The event promises a rich program, including technical seminars, exclusive tastings, B2B meetings, and visits to Mendoza’s renowned vineyards and wineries. This unique format aims to foster meaningful connections and open new markets for Argentine wine.
The announcement at Wine Paris 2025 has set the stage for Mendoza to shine on the global wine map. As the heart of Argentina’s wine industry, producing 70% of the country’s wine, Mendoza is poised to leverage this opportunity to strengthen its international presence and showcase its unparalleled winemaking heritage.
Vinexpo Explorer Mendoza 2025 is not just an event; it is a celebration of Mendoza’s legacy and a bridge to the future of Argentine wine on the world stage. The countdown to October 2025 has begun, and the wine world is eagerly anticipating this historic gathering.
