Farina Wines has roots in the Valpolicella Classica dating back to the 16th century in Pedemonte, Verona. Today, the family-owned winery is managed by cousins Elena and Claudio Farina. In its over 100 years history, the company has consolidated an authoritative international reputation, so much so that it currently generates exports 70% of its production. In the last 20 years, the company has invested heavily in the production areas ‘expansion and modernization and creating comfortable, airy reception areas to host customers and wine lovers for visits and tastings.
Immersive wine experience in Valpolicella
Wine tourism is a strategic activity of the Farina company because it reflects deep ties to the Valpolicella community and the vineyards which provide Farina’s grapes. Specific itineraries, in-depth wine tours, and tailor-made packages for individual visitors, groups, and corporate events immerse visitors in the Valpolicella Classica.
Farina offers four immersive vineyard and winery tours followed by a guided tasting of the most iconic wines served with a platter of locally-sourced artisanal charcuterie or a gourmet light lunch.
The artistic expression of winemaking
Visitors have the opportunity to learn about sustainable low-impact viticulture in traditional vineyards. They can also discover a winery steeped in history that has integrated sustainable technologies and innovative concrete and ceramic vats in the cellar to obtain ever-more pristine expressive wines.
Since cousins Elena and Claudio Farina took the reins of the company two decades ago, Farina Wines’ commitment to the arts and territory has been a constant. In 2023, the Farina winery has embraced a unique collaboration with ArteRicambi, an international art gallery based in Verona, to bring forth an experience that marries the nuanced world of winemaking with the profound depths of artistic expression. The project represents an addition to an already engaging and successful winery tour. The meticolous attention of Farina to Wine Tourism and art led the winery to win the prize of Great Wine Capitals International Award 2024 for Best Of Wine Tourism in the Art & Culture section.
Art Ferment podcast
A podcast has also been created about the Art Ferment project to give everyone the opportunity to appreciate the layers of intention behind the work of globally celebrated artists. The “Art Ferment” podcast isn’t just a tour; it’s an immersive journey for the palate and the soul, enriching visitors’ understanding of the artworks on display, the vision of the artists, and the intricate dialogue between the crafting of wine and the creation of art.
The Art Ferment podcast is available on Spotify and on the YouTube channel of the winery.
