Diana Schmitt is the head chef and owner of “Tacheles”, a rustic restaurant in the old centre of Flörsheim-Dalsheim. Here, guests can enjoy culinary delicacies from the region. She serves game from Schmitt’s own hunting grounds – and she also caters for vegetarians. The restaurant has a beautifully landscaped outdoor area.
Wines from the Demeter-certified winery run by her brother, Daniel Schmitt, round off her menu. This coherent concept has now been recognised with the Best of Wine Tourism Award 2022 for “Wine Gastronomy”. The rural restaurant also offers wine tasting sessions and wagon rides through the vineyards, where guests can stop off at the company’s very own inn.
