Since 2005, Quinta do Vallado has been receiving guests at the famous Wine Hotel. Guests are presented with the opportunity to stay in the Manor House, once owned by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, built in 1734 and recently remodeled. In addition, a new building was completed in 2012. This new wing, built mainly in shale, the predominant material in the region’s soil, was designed by Architect Francisco Vieira de Campos. As a whole, Quinta do Vallado offers 13 rooms, 5 in the manor house and 8 in the Modern Wing.
The property has an impressive swimming pool and offers various activities, such as hiking, biking, boat trips, fishing sessions, picnics, cooking classes, Spa and wine tasting.
In 2009, a modern and unique building was also built for the new cellar and cellar of barrels, combining the most advanced technology with a high quality architectural project, which makes it one of the most visited places in the Douro Valley.
