In 1892 Giacomo Montresor founded Cantine Giacomo Montresor, starting a tradition which is now the perfect expression of their values: open the doors of the winery and let people discover the history and the territory where their prestigious wines are produced. Hospitality is one of the main purposes of the winery, with tours showing the crushing and fermentation facilities, the ancient fruit cellar and the underground cellars for aging and refining great wines. At Cantine Giacomo Montresor it is also possible to choose between different tour formulas, where the visitor is engaged in special experiences, with wine tastings and local gastronomic excellences. Furthermore, a museum has been created, offering an immersive experience to be lived at 360 degrees between story, culture and territory. The Museum tour begins with the history of the cellars, inextricably linked to the city of Verona. The winery is in fact located a stone’s throw from Verona historic center. In the Museum you will also find a section devoted to the winemaking tradition narrated through agricultural tools, from the early twentieth century to today , and a section offering an engaging look at Valpolicella, in its entirety. Climate, landscape, grapes, winemaking tools and above all the drying process and the history of Amarone . The aim is to provide guests an immersive experience, displaying the history of the winery, the culture and the territory, in a journey that engages all senses.
