Beresford Estate is a family-owned winery in McLaren Vale spanning 70 acres, with its accommodation offering designed to blend with the picturesque vineyards. McLaren Vale is a short drive from Adelaide city, meaning you can start your overnight stay almost as soon as you leave home or the airport, allowing for more time spent onsite enjoying Beresford Estate’s award-winning wines, including grenache, shiraz and chardonnay.
Guests staying in one of the private villas or luxurious, newly-built suites can enjoy a complete immersion into the South Australian wine country experience: the accommodation is fortunate enough to be the centre of a working vineyard.
The 15 luxury suites – 9 Reserve suites and 6 Grand Reserve suites – built in 2022 by the Mossop Building Group were designed by Alexander Brown Architects (now known as Section Six Architects) to match the aesthetics of the Beresford Tasting Pavilion. The suites were built with the primary intention of delivering a luxury accommodation service to the McLaren Vale region by providing a premium offering for guests travelling to the region, and for wedding clients to be able to offer their guests luxury accommodation onsite.
No wonder Beresford Estate was awarded the Great Wine Capitals Best Of Wine Tourism Award for Accommodation for 2025.
Wine tastings and events, like pairing dinners and vineyard picnics, help to deliver a memorable experience for wine enthusiasts. Guests can indulge in cellar door experiences, where they can sample a variety of wines grown on-site while learning about the winemaking process from knowledgeable staff.
Beresford Estate offers accommodation options beyond the suites, with two masterly crafted accommodation wings that are adjoined by the grand ballroom ‘the Gallery Room’, in the Beresford Estate House that are used for specialised functions and corporate events. The modernistic and architecturally ingenious nature of Beresford House is a point of difference for McLaren Vale in itself.
Don’t just listen to us. Beresford Estate won Bronze for the South Australian Tourism Awards in the category New Tourism Build in 2023 for their Grand Reserve Suites and Reserve Suites.
They have also been awarded a 4.5 star rating through Tourism Industry Council of South Australia for their accommodation.
They have also incorporated accessibility into the design, with accessible rooms in both
the categories of suites. The bathrooms are fitted out with hand rails and plenty of room for mobility devices. The stools have been removed so that a wheelchair can be pushed right up to the table. There is also a golf buggy to use to help guests move around on the property.
Beresford Estate is waiting to greet you. Come and stay a night or two.
