The Castel de Daval majestically overlooks the Sierre plain from its elevated position within our vineyard. It offers an integral experience that combines wine tasting, a night’s stay in the heart of the Valais vineyard in a romantic castle with five guest rooms, and a breakfast buffet featuring local products from our production and other Valais producers. Each of our rooms is named after a grape variety, creating a unique connection between our guests and the wines they can discover during their stay. One of the unique experiences we offer is an Escape Room in our barrel cellar. This immersive game is a fun and engaging way to learn more about our winemaking process and the history of the Colline de Daval. It’s a great way to combine entertainment and education for our visitors.
Our vineyard spans 6 hectares between Sierre and Chamoson, and we also cultivate 30 hectares of fruit trees (apple, pear, and apricot) and 3 hectares of asparagus. Our wines, representative of this region, draw their beautiful minerality from the limestone terroirs. Sierre is the sunniest city in Switzerland. With more than 300 days of sunshine a year, Sierre offers a unique microclimate that contributes to the quality and richness of our wines. We are proud to announce that our vineyard is currently undergoing a federal organic conversion. Starting from the 2022 vintage, our wines are certified organic by Bio Inspecta. This transition reflects our commitment to sustainable viticulture and our respect for the natural environment.
