It was 1970 when Valentina and Giancarlo took over what has now become the Valentina Cubi Agricultural Company. The company is located in the small district of Casterna (fFumane- Verona), an ancient village dating back to the early 1700s, on the slopes of the Fumane hills, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica. Valpolicella, located east of Lake Garda and north of the province of Verona, represents one of the most significant wine-growing areas in Italy.

Over the years, the company has reached an extension of thirteen hectares, ten of which are vineyards, trained using the Guyot and traditional Veronese pergola systems. Native Veronese vines such as Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara are grown in full respect of the local production tradition but with a modern approach, with the aim of obtaining only the highest quality. The grapes are strictly hand-harvested.

Since 2010 the company has been producing organic wines and since 2014 it has been fully certified. The organic certification is a strategic decision as well as a real philosophy. The goal is to get in tune with nature and leave future generations a healthier environment, capable of still giving great satisfaction. Valentina Cubi also produces “Verbasco”, a quality organic extra virgin olive oil, Amarone and Recioto spirits.

Agriturismo

For Valentina, the cellar is not everything. Over the years, she realized that to further enhance the appreciation of her wines and to convey the philosophy of life she had adopted, it was necessary to aim for all-round hospitality, welcoming guests from all over the world into her “home”. Thus, about ten years ago, she gave life to the Agriturismo Valentina Cubi. The Agriturismo is located in the courtyard owned by the company, next to the Cellar and has become over time a place of complete relaxation for all those who wish to enjoy country life, in the open air with a breathtaking view of the green hills of Valpolicella.

Every day, from April to October, Valentina and her staff welcome international guests with a smile, who have the opportunity to stay in 5 different and comfortable rooms designed with attention and valorization of the territory. Breakfast is genuine and generous, characterized by local and organic products. The common will is to make guests feel at home, often establishing sincere friendships. The staff, lovers of Valpolicella and its surroundings, is always ready to recommend places to visit and typical dishes to taste in nearby restaurants.

During their stay, guests can relax while learning. Valentina Cubi wine tasting is special and allows anyone to learn about the history, traditions and processing phases that lead to the production of elegant, fresh and territorially rich wines.
