Bodega Santa Julia is committed to achieve the highest quality levels of wines, always caring for sustainable practices that contribute to protecting the environment and being useful to the community.
Everything the winery does has to be in line with its 4 goals:
Producing wines of the highest QUALITY.
Continually looking for INNOVATION.
Working in harmony with the ENVIRONMENT.
Contributing to the COMMUNITY of which we are part of
Some of the sustainable practices the we do at the winery are:
Composting natural by-products and adding it back to the soil.
Planting special grasses which help hold the soil together and provide nutrients.
Water recycling programs
Cero use of chemical pesticides
445 ha where flora and fauna are still native.
Reduction in bottle weight.
Use of recycled paper for cartons and labels.
Thermal insulation in the winery and storage areas to conserve energy.
Our people and community are also very important for us.That is why, for many years now we have worked on building cultural centers at our vineyards, where our workers and their families have access to day care for their children, sport facilities, libraries, health care and school for adults.
Also, two of our vineyards have now sewing studios where women can learn a new profession and earn an extra salary for their families.
Santa Julia was also the first winery to certify in Fair for Life, giving in this way workers fair work conditions and help for social causes.
