Casa de Mateus is a marvel of baroque architecture, it is a time machine that allows us to travel over the past hundreds of years and follow much of the history of Portugal, Europe and the World. It is a centre that converge and radiate people, ideas, stories, documents, artifacts, which all together constitute a unique heritage.
It is open to the public for visits all year round and offers a diverse cultural program, namely, international music meetings, seminars and conferences, concerts of ancient and baroque music, just to name a few.
