George Sandeman
George Sandeman revolutionized the branding and marketing of Port wine when he founded Sandeman in 1790. As one of the first merchants to package Port under a recognizable label, he helped establish a global identity for the product. The iconic silhouette of the “Don” figure in a Portuguese cape remains a hallmark of the brand.
