Henri Badoux from the Canton of Vaud
In 1908, Henri Badoux purchased the vineyard plots in Clos des Murailles. The emblematic vineyard of Aigle boosts with optimal southern exposure and dizzyingly steep terraces. To this day, the ‘lizard wine’ with its eponymous label is probably the most famous wine in Switzerland.

Jean-Pierre Pellegrin from Geneva
Geneva winemaker Jean-Pierre Pellegrin can confidently be called an icon of Swiss viticulture. At his Domaine Grand’Cour in Peissy-Satigny, he has planted a record 25 grape varieties. Pellegrin is also known as the ‘watchmaker of Swiss winemakers’ because of his art of blending wines, which he does with rare precision.
Jean-Denis Perrochet from the Three-Lakes region
Jean-Denis Perrochet, the star winemaker at Maison Carrée in Auvernier, made a name for himself as a pioneer of organic winemaking. He was a staunch advocate of natural vineyard management. Considered as a master of Pinot Noir, he was ranked among the best winemakers in Switzerland. He died unexpectedly of a heart attack in November 2024.
