Strategically located on the Wine Route; Olivícola Laur is chosen by more than 300 visitors per day, both local and international. The sightseeing experience begins with a guided tour available in three languages by Olive Oil Sommeliers. On the route you can see the olive trees that Don Francisco Laur planted in the 19th century. Among them stands out Libertad, a heritage tree that is among the 11 centenary olive trees of America.
Visitors also have the opportunity to visit the Olive Tree Museum and marvel at the ancient processes of olive oil production. On special dates, the visitor will also be able to attend cultural events programmed in the cycle of Classical Music and Tango through the Wine Roads. Olivícola Laur tops the EVOO World Ranking 2021, a non-profit classification created to promote the most awarded extra virgin olive oils in the world, chosen by specialist juries in blind tastings. Laur was also distinguished with the Country Brand License as Ambassadors of Argentina in the world.
In our emblematic farm we do not add fertilizers or pesticides and we recover 100% of the water used for the oil extraction process, which is used to irrigate our olive trees. Thanks to this we have obtained the organic certification of the International Agricultural Organization.
The property is also home to Acetaia Millán, the only and first acetaia in the country to produce balsamic vinegar from grape must without any additives, a completely natural product. In addition, it is the only one in the Southern Hemisphere to obtain the certification of the Modena Consortium for the production of traditional vinegar, a process that is carried out in barrels of 5 different woods and lasts up to 15 years.
Olivícola Laur belongs to the Millán Family, noted for its wineries and wine portfolios. For this reason and in honor of its founder, three wines are also made here: Organic Laur Malbec, Organic Laur Cabernet Sauvignon, and Laur Tres Hectareas Malbec (with 90 points), which visitors can taste at the end of their tour at the Tasting experience or the Tasting experience.
