Founded in 1973, Cakebread Cellars crafts quality wines that pair best with good food & good company. That’s why warm hospitality and wine & food education remain at the heart of the winery’s culture today. In October 2019 the Cakebread family opened the doors to a new sustainably-minded tasting room that immerses guests in the winemaking cellar action and provides the perfect setting for seasonal food pairings from the estate culinary garden.
Winery founders – and self-proclaimed foodies – Jack and Dolores Cakebread helped shape Napa Valley’s early wine & food culture with their pioneering culinary programs. Today their sons Bruce and Dennis Cakebread continue to build upon the epicurean education legacy, recently opening a new visitor center with signature wine and food seminar programs in mind. The space overlooks citrus trees and a Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, immersing visitors in a wine & food paired haven. Book a Garden to Glass tour/tasting where guests can pick fruit and vegetables straight from the Cakebread’s ¾ acre Bee Friendly certified garden, then enjoy a seated wine & food pairing for a truly farm-to-table experience. Or pull up a whisk and join Chef Brian Streeter for a cooking classes – in person or virtually.
