Finca Flichman, chosen by Decanter as the Producer of the Best Malbec in the World

Microterroir Malbec Gravel & Stone 2020 has been distinguished as the Best Malbec among 18,000 wines from 57 countries. This recognition comes from the prestigious English publication Decanter, which awarded Finca Flichman the highest score—97 points—and the only Malbec "Best in Show."

Finca Flichman, the century-old winery from Mendoza, continues to make history, establishing itself as an international benchmark of excellence and the highest exponent of the quality of Argentine wine. The DECANTER WINE WORLD AWARDS, in its 21st edition, has consolidated itself as the largest and most influential wine competition in the world.

Evaluated by the best wine experts from around the globe, the DWWA are internationally recognized for their rigorous assessment process. Decanter recruits hundreds of the world’s leading wine experts to ensure that the wines entered into the competition are evaluated by the best specialists in their field, ranging from Master Sommeliers and Masters of Wine to wine buyers, winemakers, distributors, writers, and educators.

The Best in Show award is the highest accolade in the Decanter World Wine Awards. In a final tasting, the four co-chairs re-taste all the Platinum winners to select the ‘Best in Show.’

Rogelio Rabino, winemaker at Finca Flichman, celebrated the award with his team, saying, “It is a joy that the pursuit of quality and sustainability that we have been carrying out at Finca Flichman is recognized by the world’s best wine experts as a benchmark of global quality for Argentine Malbec. We are truly proud as a team of this accolade.”

Diego Levy, Ceo of Finca Flichman adds “This recognition is the result of the dedication and professionalism of the enology and viticulture team. The smallest details throughout the entire process have contributed to this hard-earned award. My congratulations to Rogelio Rabino and his team, who, with passion and hard work, have managed to distinguish our wine. We are proud to contribute to the history of Finca Flichman and to Argentine viticulture.”
