With 150 kilometers of coast and four provinces furnished by a diverse landscape, there is more to enjoy in the region than just the famous Rioja wines!

Enjoy the Sanfermines in Pamplona (July), feasts of La Blanca in Vitoria (July), the San Mateo wine harvest festival in Logroño (September), the Bilbao Great Week (August) the San Sebastián Film Festival (September), the biggest left wave in Mundaka or the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. Bilbao Airport is connected with Madrid and many other Spanish cities and connects with the other eight cities of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network by international flight destinations to: Amsterdam, Brussels, Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Lisbon, London (Heathrow and Stansted), Manchester, Munich, Paris (CDG), Roma (Fiumicino), and Stuttgart.

Airport Shuttle Transportation

Catch the bus no. A3247 and it will take you from Bilbao Airport to the city. Departures from Bilbao to the airport are from 5:25 to 21:55, and from the airport to Bilbao are from 6:15 to 23.15, every 30 minutes. Price: 1,20 €uro per person. Buses drop passengers off at Plaza Moyua, just in the city centre.

Railway Transportation

Renfe (National Railway Network) links with the main Spanish cities and with the High Speed Train (TGV) in France through the International Railway Station at Irun.

Subway

Two lines go through the Metropolitan Area of Bilbao from the rural side of the town to the seacoast.

Car Rental

Taxi

The region’s taxis are distinctively white with an identifying light. Regular taximeters are used but once outside urban boundaries, the service is charged by the kilometer, and includes the price of the driver's return trip to his starting point.
