3rd day: Where to begin?

The Porto City Council provides four tourism information spots in the city.

Here you will find a young and experienced team that will help you getting to know the city. Besides the tourism information available and the free map, you can purchase promotional material, merchandising, the Porto Card, travel tickets (Andante – recharging monthly passes, Andante Tour (1 and 3 days), Andante 24H and occasional tickets) and the municipal youth card.

Since I’m going to stay a couple of days in the city and take part in some events, I’ve decided to buy a Porto Card.

 

Here’s the information regarding it:

 

 

- Free access or more attractive prices, with discounts from 5% to 50% and other specific discounts, in a wide range of products and services: Museums and heritage, sightseeing tours, cellars and Port Wine, shopping, eat and drink, theatres and concert halls, touristic centres, sports and nightlife.

 

- There are various card modalities:

- Walker

- 24, 48 and 72 hour cards, which include one Andante Tour transport ticket with unlimited use of various means of public transportation.

 

You can obtain the Porto Card from the Porto Tourism Information Offices.
